Magic The Gathering - Khans of Tarkir

Of all the board games and video games that we play, Magic has usually been one of the more competitive games that we play with each other. We don't usually go to any tournaments or events (way too unsocial for that), however when a new set gets released we usually go and pick up a fat pack of the set to see what new cards we can add to our mini collection. This also prevents us from going too crazy and buying a bunch of packs or cards online.

Pandemic

A cooperative game against viruses that could end all humanity. This game really makes us hold our breath when we have to draw cards. It’s quite nerve wracking, but also fun to play.

Super Smash Bros 3DS Demo and Thoughts

It is almost time for Super Smash Bros 3DS to be released in the US. There has been so much news on it lately, it’s hard to keep up! Two days before the Japanese release, there were live streams of the game being played. Rami watched the live stream to find out who the hidden characters were. We were a bit disappointed with the amount of character unlocked from playing the game. We thought the starting roster would be smaller and the rest of the new characters would be unlockables. Oh well, no big deal.

On Friday, Sept 12, there was a Nintendo Direct that would cover upcoming games as well as Super Smash Bros. We were super happy when they announced that Platinum members would get to play the Super Smash Bros demo early as well as 3 friends! Luckily, Rami made it to platinum so we awaited eagerly for the codes to arrive. It was announced at 1pm and we finally got the email sometime after 6pm. JDX got a code, and the other two we gave away.

New Super Mario Bros U

Before we give our opinion on this game, we realized that we did not play this game to its fullest potential. We had the game for about a month and did not take very long to get to the end of the story. Normally we would consider a game finished  when everything is unlocked, collected and there would be nothing else other than play the game for fun. However, due to time constraints we decided we would just try to finish as much as we can. As of now, we have completed unlocking every secret area, beat the story once and unlocked one star world stage.

Tanto Cuore

Happy Labor Day!

JDX is taking a break but I'll (Rami) will be working on this post today ^^;

This week the game we're talking about is Tanto Cuore. For anyone that doesn't know, this is a card deck building game with maids. It is similar to games such as Dominion but of course with the difference of maids.

This game has some mild/suggestive themes, so unless you're okay with this please don't continue reading. In my opinion, I don't see much wrong with the cards.

Tales of Xillia 2 - Initial Impressions

JDX: Before we start this initial impressions review, we have to confess something first. We've always been huge fans of Tales of series, even getting the collectors boxes when they were announced, and have already played most of their games up to this point.

Rami: Completely incorrect! JDX is a super fan of Tales of Series, and constantly getting those crazy collector boxes. On the other hand I am a FAN of JRPG's and NEVER finished a Tales of Series game in my entire life. I have watched others play the ending so at least I know somewhat of what is going on. <(^_~)^ (Winning pose)

JDX:...... Anyways, That being said, we'll he will try not to make this review biased because of that.

Now that that is out of the way, when we first got Tales of Xillia 2, we he had already pre-ordered the collector's edition box months ago. When it finally came in, I was super excited to play the game.
Box comparison between the two Xillia games.
Collector's Edition: Art book, Replica watch (mirror), Ludger Kresnik figurine, Rollo plush, Music CD and the game. (Left to right)
Note: Slight spoilers for the first few hours of the game, but it's a review so kind of hard to not have a few spoilers here and there.
